The ex-Governor will bow out this afternoon according to Democratic sources.. I really do feel bad for all the liberal dopes who bought his nonsense... I say the "liberal dopes" owe him a great deal of thanks. If not for his vigor and guns-a-blazing approach we dont have a race this year. He did alot to reignite a dormant party and you watch...the landslide that you predicted Straw may not happen, heck your man may in fact LOSE!!

Yeah, He did wonders like when he received Gore's endorsement. Just another reason why Al Gore is the biggest putz this country has seen since Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter may have not been a very effective President but he is a great American and has made great contributions to America and the world. |

Name-call all you want, but the ultimate nominee of the Democratic Party will still be able to say: "We're going to South Carolina and Oklahoma and Arizona and North Dakota and New Mexico, and we're going to California and Texas and New York. And we're going to South Dakota and Oregon and Washington and Michigan. And then we're going to Washington, D.C. to take back the White House - YEE-AH!" |

I wouldn't believe it until I hear it from his own mouth. Will he start a third party canidacy? For that matter Ralph Nader is exploring a third party canidacy. |

Jimmy Carter was and is a jack ass. I hate the man for pulling us out of the olympics. This was unacceptable, and a disgrace that can never be forgiven. I think Dean is to thank for a vigorous primary that did a lot to revitalized the party. Exciting times! |

We boycotted the Olympics because the Soviet Union invaded Afganistan. Later, when your boy, Ronnie came into office he was certainly more agressive on that issue by training & arming his pal Osama. |

Keeping his word and not allowing the Olympic team to participate unless Russia withdrew from Afghanistan. His approach did not work but at least he keeped his resolve. We did not have many cards to pull against Russia in 1980. Then years later Carter was award the Nobel Peace prize. Not sure how many would agree with your assessment of him Mr.Strawberry.

Carter was the ass who negotiated the light water reactors and fuel oil payoff with N. Korea who "promised" him they'd cool their WMD program and -- shazam -- they lied. The Russkies lied about going into Afghanistan, and he sure showed them what was what by pulling our Olympic team! You betcha. And the only reason he won the Nobel Prize was because those worthless leftists were trying to send a message against GW Bush. Were it not for Bush, Carter wouldn't have gotten the prize. You're right Sylad -- he was a principled man throughout all his failures. But Straw is right -- he was a principled putz. |

Please, keep the Yiddush crudism to yourselves. Dave: just how precisely must one accuse another of being a sexual organ, before running afoul of the Patriot Act? Tricky Dick? Putz? You have the power. DWM |

CJC , you forgot the fact that he forced the ouster of the Shah of Iran in favor of Khomeini. We know how that turned out.His love of dictators like Castro and kissing Ping Pong from Korea as well as recent documents showing him working with the Soviets to oust Reagan in the 1980's. |

Yes CJC, The Soviets invade Afghanistan so what does Carter do??? He destroys the dreams of athletes throughout THIS nation. These young kids had a chance to go for the gold but thanks to Jimmy Peanut they never got the chance. If Carter builds another 10 million homes he still can't be forgiven for this disaster. (not to mention the economy, the hostages, International policy, and of course let's not forget Billy) and since then he's been duped by the N. Koreans and most recently he's been seen tongue kissing Castro. A REAL DISGRACE JUST LIKE MOST DEMOCRATS INCLUDING DEAN THE BIG MOUTHED MORON,& KERRY, THE JANE FONDA LOVER . mayhewdrive, actually it was Zbigniew Breszinksi who started the policy of arming Islamic terrorists, and US support for Hussein goes back at least to 60s. Dean had a point.

Can someone explain why there was a heavy republican turn out in Wisconsin democratic primaries? And why they favored Edwards? What does that mean? Were they voting to be spoilers for Kerry, or were they really interested in Edwards? |
