OMG - what a control freak Tom Cruise is. He has now arranged for Katie Holmes to have a dummy (pacifier) when she is in labour to keep her from screaming out....and the poor woman won't be allowed to have any painkillers either. I think she's now been brainwashed by the Scientologists.....I think Nicole Kidman had a lucky escape as she refused to convert. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/showbiz/showbiznews.html?in_artic le_id=382159&in_page_id=1773&in_a_source= (Katie's bump looks rather odd in the photo, methinks) |

Holy crap. What a stupid little girl! What a frightening, controlling, clueless man! Any man ever tried to dictate how I would birth my baby would find himself in a world of pain! "How's about I give your nuts a little twist, but don't you dare scream!" |

This reminds me of something I said to a friend lately about why I hate religion. It's always about the women, always about some control crap aimed at the women. Scientology is no frickin' different. |

What is the matter with you people?? Tom Cruise is a celebrity! Therefore, he is smarter than we are, and knows what is best for himself and everyone else! If he says that a cult embraced by a handful of hollywood airheads is the divine truth, so be it. If he says women need no painkillers during the most painful experience of their lives, that's all. Why can't you understand that he is right and the rest of the world is wrong? |

This is so sick and pathetic. First of all, that "bump" Katie Holmes is wearing doesn't even look real. I am not implying the pregnancy is fake (though nothing would surprise me now) but it just doesn't look right. Second, what is the matter with this girl that she is letting Nutty Tom dictate how she gives birth? Does she know anything at all about childbirth? What kind of twisted society that must be if they let the men tell the women how they should behave while giving birth. Why are Katie's parents not whisking her the hell away from Tom? They aren't married; there is no guarantee that this baby is his, anyway. Oh, how grotesque. What happened to Tom Cruise? Can someone just make him go away? |

Absolutely, Cyn. I agree 100%. It's just unfortunate that Katie is allowing herself to be controlled. But what else might we expect from a silly, confused little girl. I blame him 99%. Probably he and Nicole ultimately didn't work out because she would not allow herself to be controlled and manipulated. |

Creepy Tom said it best in the article: "He [Tom] also mapped out their future together, saying: "First the baby, then the film. Then, in summer, we want to get married. I won't let this woman get away." Run Kate Run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I really like and admire Tom Cruise. He's smart, he's handsome, and he's cool. Plus he's a scientologist! How cool is that! Oh wait, wrong thread, I was looking for the Lying Game. |

I think it also has a lot to do with the way she chose to dress the bump that makes it look especially freakish. |

Travoltas Support Holmes and Cruise Over Silent Birth Plans 5 April 2006 (WENN) Hollywood couple John Travolta and Kelly Preston have raced to fellow Scientologist Tom Cruise's support as he and fiancee Katie Holmes plan a controversial silent birth in the coming days. The heavily pregnant actress plans to adhere to strict Scientology rules and give birth without screaming obscenities or making loud noises. But the Travoltas insist the birthing procedure, which has been mocked in the press over the past few months, isn't like people think. The Pulp Fiction star says, "There are unwanted emotions and pain that goes along with any birth." Preston insists the Scientology-friendly labor doesn't forbid the mum-to-be from yelling out in pain: "Screaming is fine... It's the words. If you can avoid saying certain phrases and words... Just try to keep it as quiet as possible. Of course you're going to groan and yell. It hurts. Just keep it to a minimum." |

the only aspect of Tom Cruise I would like to address is that he may be the most over-rated male actor going. Except for "Magnolia" where he plays a character that seems perhaps the way he really is. After seeing Tom Hulce play and astound in the lead role in "A Few Good Men" on Broadway, then watching Tom Cruise take that great role and make it mediocre, I realized how poor an actor he was and how directors went for the facial close-up shot of Tom staring ahead with lips slightly parted as a regular dramatic vehicle for him in movies...that is not acting -- that is posing! I always thought Katie Holmes was adorable..she obviously lacks for taste. |

Not that I wish this on any woman - but wouldn't it be great if Katie goes through post partum depression? What would Tom do - since there is no such thing? (of course, if she ever has any ppd, we'll never know about it). |

I so agree with you, Hank Zona! I just got "War of the Worlds" from Netflix and not only did it suck, Tom sucked too! "Magnolia" is one of my favorite movies -- the acting is stunning and the stories complex. Tom was his best in this because he was part of something greater than him and he was not the "star" of the movie. Tom is quickly becoming a big joke with an exclamation point at the end. RUN KATIE, RUN!! |

Newone; apparently Tom does accept that there is such a thing as postpartum depression....but the cure for it is taking vitamins and exercise... . What is scarier is that Scientologists won't allow newborn babies to be 'poked or prodded for **medical tests** or be spoken to for seven days'... . What will happen if their newborn baby is sick? http://www.bumpshack.com/tomcruise.htm And as for the Tom being gay rumours.... http://www.jossip.com/gossip/tom-cruise/tom-cruise-is-gay-now-with-substantially -more-fake-evidence-20050629.php

My theory is that he is a crappy, narrow-ranged actor but he's sitting on a pile of money. The fact that "Cocktail" made over $75 million at the box office is an indictment of American culture. |

Hank that's not fair to say. When Cocktail came out, Tom was at the pinnacle of his I'm a Sex Symbol portion of his career. He had just come off of Top Gun and The Color of Money. Girls thought he was hot. |

He was unbelievably hot in Top Gun. Cocktail was just silly. Then somewhere along the way, he flipped a switch...and he is what he is today. He is not hot, he is not talented, he is not particularly intelligent. Yet, nothing seems to stand in the way of spouting off his views at inappropriate times, or brainwashing a young girl, or.....etc. |
