yes. It's okay. It reminds me of Chuck-E-Cheese Pizza. sort of like Dominos too. My kids wanted to try it so we did. Probably good in a pinch....but I think I will stick with The Resevoir Pizza....or the Star....my personal favorites.

The Star? What/where is that?

Personally, I think nothing beats the Trat.

The Star Tavern is in Orange... THE ABSOLUTE BEST if don't mind parking with the barking dogs, chain link fences, and gravel lawns. We used to go once a week... She is probably gone now but we had the same waitress from 1974 until well into 2000.

I like Bunnies pizza and they also have a dish named in honor of Dave Ross.

We tried Papa John's yesterday too. Any of these conveyor belt ovens isn't going to yield the same thing as a good ole fashioned pizza oven. Costco stuff is the same way. The oddest thing was that their thin crust pizza almost resembled puff pastry in the way it flaked off.

It's okay stuff in a pinch, but any of the local pizzarias will have a better product. Papa John's is open until 2 AM on the weekends.

If you're going to get your pizza on SA just go across the street to Pizza Primo's. Pete always supports Maplewood teams and causes, gives pizza away at many events each year...and makes a good pie. Lastly, he'll know your name the second time you walk in the place. Oh, and they deliver.

never got the raves about Star Tavern --mighty overrated pizza, in my opinion. It's an 'ok' thin crust; I wouldn't go out of my way.
Bunny's bar pie better; our locals all do good- to-very good pizza

Some years ago, I was introduced by a co-worker to another person with which he had been involved in a transaction involving herd financing for industrial cheeese. This was a loan transaction concerning a herd of kine that produced what was referred to as industrial cheese, i.e., the kind of cheese that chains use for pizza.

The mere fact that these chains use what is known as "industrial cheese" is enough of a reason to avoid them.

Bunny's -Very Good
Reservoir-Pretty good (but as I recall, not too kid friendly).
Trattoria-Very Good
Roman Gourmet-Pretty good but not very friendly to kids B-day parties (what a shame cause their next to the Theater. Do they know how much business they have lost because of their attitude?-No problem Trattoria is close enough and picked up all that biz).
Arturos-Very good but also not very B-day party friendly (and from what I hear from my son and his friends, they're downright rude to kids who come in w/out their parents).

Maybe I just can't get the New Yawk outta my blood but nothing is quite up to John's Pizzeria for Pie/thin crust Pizza (Bleeker St).and Stromboli's for slices (13th and University).

Not complainin, just explainin.

Ukie: In 1969 I lived in the second floor (front) apt. at 177 Bleeker (this was also Dr. Strange's address!), above a "Spin-Art" place, right across from John's, and I always went up to Stromboli's to get my pizza.

BTW: Anytime I went much further north, I got a nosebleed.

Another vote for Jeffl's suggestion. Cross the street and visit the folks at Pizza Primo.

Know the feeling Soda. Between 1981 -1990 lived on 15th st. I was at Stromboli's so much, I was gonna ask them if I could start getting my mail there. When I was in the mood for brick oven, thin crust it was down to Bleeker and John's.
