Poor Edgar. Mr. Blackcat thought that he was going to get caught outside right away. Why, oh why, couldn't it have been Kim! And scary C. Thomas Howell...what the?

Poor Edgar. I thought someone was going to get a full face blast of the stuff like the late Gael did with the virus in Season 3 (Day 3?)....anyone see that?

I also thought they would be all foamy at the mouth like the film clip they showed the President. As I said before...why couldn't it be Kim! I started to scream last week when they showed the coming attractions and I saw she was coming back. I think Chloe should have pushed her out of the room at the last minute.

blackcat - ha ha ha

On another note, I can't believe it took all the way to Episode 12 for Tony to rip the IV's out of his arm.

Maybe Sean Astin will sacrifice himself next week to get everyone out since he's to blame for this...or maybe he'll sacrifice Kim

Don't you think Edgar is going to survive somehow? They'll bring in a Blackhawk helicopter and suck all the air out of the buidling and out of his lungs. Something like that. Man, he's twice the man he was at the start of the first season. Did he swallow one of those cannisters?

Yeah...where is Samwise, I mean Lynn? Is holding sealed up? Everytime he said something, we would add, "Mr. Frodo". Sorry dude, it's too natural. So, do you think a mountain lion will break into CTU and hold Kim hostage?
I really thought Chloe was going to say, "Get over yourself, Kim. You're too stupid to keep a secret like your father's death was faked."

Usually there's still another layer or two of the onion to peel off at this point in the day, isn't there? Maybe the nerve gas isn't the final threat. I think Henderson is in business with the all-too-fond-of-martial-law Vice President, and they're plotting a military coup for which the nerve gas is the raison d'etre.

It was humerous as well how everyone is dying all around Chloe, Jack etc and they don't get upset until they see Edgar...

Maybe this nerve gas is just a demonstration of how it might work. I still don't think Edgar's dead. "I'm not dead yet."

red,

I KNOW! I was laughing so hard - there are CTU folks hurling themselves at the glass and everyone's like, 'shrug', until Audrey sees Edgar. Then it's like, Oh. Muh. God. EDGAR!!!!

Too funny.

Also, Aaron and Mrs. Prez. -- who knew???!!! Please, let them kiss.

When did you see a note change hands? I thought their hand-squeeze was just a hand-squeeze. Did I miss something?

Tom, sounds plausible in the world of "24." Anything goes. As a new fan, I've been watching Days 2, 3 and am now four hours into Day 4, in my bid to learn all things "24" (we have to watch Day 1 after 4 because it was wait-listed at Netflix for some reason). I have had a crash course in "24" history -- hence my recollection of Gael's sad fate. Anyway, I could see the VP hatching that plot....though it reminds me a bit of the presidential cabinet forcing Palmer out in Day 2.

I liked the fat guy. Sorry to see him go and now the poor actor is out of work unless they find a way to bring HIM back from the dead.

I don't think there was a note. It was just, ya know, a moment. The poor woman needs SOMEBODY that she can respect.

Here's what the President does. -Whatever it is that the last guy told him to do.

I just caught up on Monday's episode - 2 great episodes!

I thought it was a nice tribute to Edgar that they didn't have the audio on with the final seconds (beeps) of the show.

A little off topic - I caught Dennis Haysbert's new show - The Unit - not bad. Maybe all the dead 24 actors can join that show.

Just went through the scene frame-by-frame, and there's no sign of any paper. It looked like Aaron might have been palming something when Mike interrupted, but maybe not.

Back to my theory -- if it's true then David Palmer was assassinated because he knew about it, one of his Pentagon contacts would have filled him in.

late to this thread. Just to add to Blackcat's original comment: C Thomas Howell is NOT aging well! He is so thin and scary, almost looks like he's ill...ICK

I will miss Edgar. I always thought he and Chloe would eventually get it on

Almeda goes down - classic.

I think other shows that have loyal audiences (sopranos, Lost) could learn a few things from 24 and clip characters that have been around for a while.

Also, I don't understand the Kim-bashing. She is gorgeous, not just good-looking, but gorgeous. (And she has a good cameo role in a Weezer video) I just hopes she dumps that tool/shrink that she was with and considers getting with a real 'The Man'.

Being a clinical psychologist I'm always interested in the roles portrayed by them on TV. I've never seen one who added anything to a plot. Counselor, on the Star Trek series...come on, I expect superpowers, not the ability to sense emotions! The guy last night...what a wimp. You had to hate him. The shrinks on the Law and Order series...why are you drawing salaries.

Thanks Amanda...classic TV formula - the one who creates chaos must be sacrificed. However, how was the room he was in sealed from the nerve agent? He just opened the door to leave so it couldn't have been airtight and sealed like the other rooms...

24 always has silly holes in the plot like that.

Classic lines as always "so we are all going to die because you were embarressed?"

And of course Chloe "is breathing your 'thing' you tell everyone to do?"

something i thought curious ... when kim was talking to chloe, after chloe came out of her short-lived funk, kim said to chloe that she was sorry about her "friend," referring i believe to edgar.

the dialogue made it seem that kim didn't know edgar ... didn't kim know him from her stint at ctu the previous season?

I thought the CTU security guy should have given ol' Lyn a swift kick in the nuts..hey he was going to die anyway..at least he would have felt better for a moment. I said the same thing about Kim's comment regarding Chloe's "friend"-did she forget she worked there? Hopefully C. Thomas Howell gets killed off -by Jack perhaps?-considering he got Kim out of her funk when she wanted to kill herself.
