not long actually. Well, I premeditated the post earlier in the day. Then tonight I sat down and saw the time was 8:57 and remembered my idea from earlier in the day. But the time I posted it was 8:59 so I actually waited a minute to resubmit.

And Dave, I believe it's

How did everyone like the first episode? Here's a little breakdown:

It's 3 years later,
- Tony and Michelle are married
- Kim Bauer is working for CTU and seems that her IQ has jumped a few points from last season. Her co-worker, Adam, is Mr. Suspicious of episode one (probably nothing wrong with him at all or is there?)
- Kim is dating Jack's partner (Chase) - but they haven't told him.
- Jack has a drug problem.
- Since last series Jack has dated Kate Warner, sounds like it's over now - but she'll be back!
- Terrorists threaten to release a virus that will kill millions unless they release Salazar who is on death row.
- Presently the virus is in a bag of cocaine which is being carried around by some punk kid (Kyle).
- President is gearing up for a re-election campaign - They make it appear that his health is questionable (I'm glad he survived from last season, one of the best actors on there next to Kiefer).

My guess is that the virus WON'T be released and Jack Bauer will save the day!

A lot more than this happened - full synopsis is here:

Thanks -- I have printed out the full synopsis and plan on reading it on the train!! Now I don't need to spend an hour watching the show.

President Palmer lives in South Orange?? Have you ever seen him in the area? Dennis Haysbert is one hell of an actor!

I haver seen him on the train and at local school and sports functions. I was always struck by how familiar he looked, and not being a regular watcher of 24, couldn't figure why.

See, I skipped all the spoilers, because I fell asleep after Jack said, " I didn't give up a year of my life to put away a drug dealer" Thank goodness honey taped it for me. I will watch it tonight.

Are you confusing Dennis Haysburt with Andre Brower (spelled phoneticallY)from Homicide? Andre Brower does live in SO but I never heard that Haysburt does.

I think you might be on the money Cagney. Andre Braugher (Homicide, Gideon's Crossing) is more likely to live in the NY metro area, since he appears regularly in summer stock on the east coast.

Andre Braugher lives in South Orange. I've seen him at the pool.

That's hysterical! I'm a huge fan of 24, and I've always noticed that Andre Braugher looks and speaks a bit like the husband of a friend of mine, who also lives in S.O. (a gentleman named Gary Taylor).

Anyway, I hope we get some flashback sequences about what Jack had been up to while he was pretending to be friends with The Bad Guy.

One thing I want to know is: what happened to Lynn? (from the Prez's staff) I thought she was such a good character. I hope we get to see her again.

I dunno about you guys, but I simply CANNOT watch the show when it is being broadcast... having to sit through the commercials just kills me. I tape every episode, and then watch them 2 at a time.

If you haven't checked the DVD's of the first 2 seasons, they are in widescreen (which I prefer) and they look and sound GREAT. Definitely a great thing to watch on a cold rainy weekend!

I don't know Gary Taylor, and I've never watched 24. I have seen Andre Braugher in a cople of things, and I did read an article someplace--I forget where--in which he said that he mnoved to South Orage because it was covenient to Philadelphia where "Hack" is taped, and because his wife likes it here. And I did see Andre Braugher at the pool.

Damn, I was so hoping I was wrong and Dennis Haysburt did also live in South Orange. He is such a good actor and - well, pretty darn handsome.
