She had just left Vic and his supporters - and aside from gloating that Fred lost and Vic won she said the following about Fred Profeta ( and this is a direct quote) "Down here we are all calling him "Fast Freddie" he's a crook and everyone knows it. He's a crook." I said: Fred Profeta is not a crook - why would you say he a crook. She gave me no reason - just repeated "he's a crook and a loser. My guy won." I find it very disturbing, that the people around Vic Deluca are using name calling and character assasination against their opponents There's more - this same friend, who is a realtor in town, as I am, came to me several weeks ago with other false allegations directly from the mouth of Vic DeLuca. It seems Vic had approached her privately, and told her that another realtor, who is very politically active, very well known and very connected, and who for many years had a successful business in Maplewood , had just bought an expensive home at the shore. He implied that she could not possibly have afforded this home by honest means and must be on the take. By the way, this person had supported Vic's opponents for the Democratic ballot for township committee. In 20 years in Maplewood I have known this person ( who Vic implied was a Crook) to be a person of total and complete integrity. As a realtor, and as an individual, I know that your good name, your integrity, is everything. I find it abhorrent that anyone would spread lies and innuendo out of petty jealousy and revenge. I would hope that the character of those who represent and serve us in public office would be better than this.
