Mr. Pizzaz please address my issue on your bathrooms. You seem to skate any issue that is about you or your business. Why? You also seem to have a lot to say about everything else in South Orange. Are you in politics in towm? Singlemalt makes reference that you own the empty store next to your restaurant. If this is true why don't you use it, rent it or clean it up. It looks horrible. |

Shame on you, mary brenner, for calling someone out in this forum! If the condition/appearance etc of the restrooms at Bunny's Restaurant are the issue- why not tell your server or Bunny herself, who is almost always sitting at the bar or walking around talking to customers? Next time, handle your business appropriately! |

I'd be happy to. Please meet me tonight for dinner. Say, about 7:00. If that's too late, my dear wife, Bunny, will be happy to speak with you at your pleasure. |

Mr. Pizzaz a meeting is not necessary just address the issue. I am not calling anyone out here just making a observation. I enjoyed the food but not the restroom. And I did make a comment to a server and was told that is the way it is. Why on this MOL everyone seems to have all kinds of issues but when an honest observation is made you get thrashed? |

Well - it's like this Mary, an issue such as unclean restrooms is something that is not the norm for the estabilshment and, if your server did not give you a satisfactory answer, you should have asked for a manager - which, in this case, would be Leslie/Bunny the owner. Posting something like that about an establishment that supports a number of areas of town-life (both political and recreational) will get you thrashed. |

I think it goes to the attitude of the poster. Had you addressed this with the owner you may have found out more. You chose to bring it here, as did SM, and there you failed. I'm happy you enjoyed your meal, and your observation is partially true. The bathrooms do need renovation, but they are NOT filthy. The building next door is under lease negotiations as we speak. |

Mr. Pizzaz I assure you I do not have an attitude. And there I failed. I do not understand your use of that statement. My observation is partially true? Why not say Mary thank you for your business and your observation. I will bring you observation to the attendant who takes care of my restrooms? I am very confused with you comments. I will take my business elsewhere. |

I frequent Bunny's and have NEVER had a problem with their ladies' room. It's always been clean, stocked with TP, paper towels, and cool foaming hand soap, and more often than not a nice-smelling candle is lit. I've never used the mens' room, so I can't comment. If you had a nasty experience I'm guessing it was probably an isolated incident not worthy of a whole entire attacking thread. |

Mary, John very generously offered to meet you for Dinner & to hear your concerns. Instead you chose to have a public discussion of his bathrooms here on MOL, which is rather inappropriate.

Cardinal rule of MOL..Never Ever comment on Bunny's or Pizzaz no matter how true the comments may be. They are off limits to any complaints unless you want nasty things to be posted about you. Some people just can't take constructive criticism! |

Sorry, Mary, but you win this month's "Customer from Hell" Award. In a few short threads you've managed to find something wrong with Bunny's, Cryan's, Blue Moon, The Reservoir and now Voro's. And all of this was prefaced with "I'm new to town". Did your past home towns by chance write "difficult" on your chart? |

If it had been "constructive" and not posted under a new thread entitled "SHAME ON YOU PIZZAZ", the response would have been different. Ditto on what MHD wrote. Mary - Mr. and Mrs. Bunny are some of the most hospitable restaurant owners, it's a shame you resorted to using a public forum to address an inadequacy you could have told them (the owners) in a private setting not meant to embarrass anyone...

Funny how Mr. Pizzaz can be negative & rude about other people on a pretty regular basis, yet when someone posts a perfectly legitimate criticism of him they get attacked. Very ironic & somewhat pitiful. |

Newbie looking in: It was interesting how so many of you jumped in to defend Pizazz. He seemed to handle it better than all of you. I haven't been here long enough to know whether he slings some barbs here and there, but honestly, its a message board, and it was simply a direct question, albeit an uncomfortable one. Why should it have been done privately? Isn't the whole point of these boards to give us all insight and information? |

This looks like an issue of attack the messenger. If the restroom was filthy, it was filthy. The owner should clean it. It doesn't matter how many town activities they support. He should be thankful someone cares enough to point it out. How does he know how many people don't eat there because of it, whose business he could have had, if it were cleaned up. Maybe the avoiders just don't bother to say anything about it. Kudos to the Mary's of the world. |

Mary, you should take pizzaz up on his offer. Go into Bunny's tonight and speak with him. He has extended an invitation for you to speak with him in person. Why not accept? He is a very nice person, and since I read that you were new to town, it would be a great way to get out and mingle while addressing your concerns. |

My own opinion is that Mary is for one not a woman, and two is another poster who has decided to reincarnate in order to criticize. As a fairly regular poster, I can discern that most newbies make a public introduction in the welcome area within the first few posts and seldom create a thread such as Mary did or proceed to belittle a good number of businesses as she did until they get to manage their ways on MOL. I do not criticize another business, I respect each and every one. If I were to comment, it would be directly to the owner in person, not under a pseudonym. It's obvious to me who Mary could be. And now Katie chimes in with her negativity as a first post. Simply unheard of in these surrounds, if only you wish to be the next batter up. Katie, do you favor the Yanks or Mets? BTW: Welcome to MOL and South Orange. Pint night Wednesday, see ya.

Yeah, I agree with you on this one...by the way, the name Mary Brenner is straight off the Mary Tyler Moore show, but the attitude came from someplace else, since the "real" Mary was a lot sunnier. (by the way, you are on the money on the Bunny's bathrooms...in need of renovation, but certainly not filthy!) [Edited to correct basic idiocy...on the Mary Tyler Moore show, the character was, of course, Mary Richards. My quick careless Googling pulled up another Mary Tyler Moore sitcom, much less successful, in which she played a divorcee named Mary Brenner.] |

Mary USA, CBS (MTM Enterprises), Sitcom, Colour, 1985 Starring: Mary Tyler Moore, James Farentino, John Astin A vehicle for Mary Tyler Moore that cast her back into familiar territory: newsrooms. The Mary Tyler Moore Show had been set at a TV station, Mary was based at a newspaper. But there was one major difference between the two series: The Mary Tyler Moore Show was one of the best and most influential sitcoms of all time, blessed with some superb scripts; Mary was not. Few watched and it was cancelled by CBS after one short season. Moore starred as Mary Brenner, a divorcee in her forties, happily writing for a fashion/glamour magazine, Woman's Digest, until, following an executive shuffle, it folds and she is forced to look for another job. She lands one as consumer-issues correspondent for a piffling low-brow tabloid daily newspaper, the Chicago Eagle, recognising that the post is beneath her dignity but being in no position to refuse.

What difference does it make what baseball team I favor? What a strange question. So Mr. Pizzaz, I have a question for you. Why is it okay for you to criticize others, but when others criticize you they're full of negativity? I may have just started posting but I've lurked on this board for a long time--checked in when I moved here to get info about the area & pop in on occasion. On a few of those occasions I've seen some unbelievably negative, inappropriate & sometimes outright false posts that were written to serve your own personal agenda. So I'm curious--why is that okay, but when someone mentions a legitimate problem with your establishment it's an outrage? Inquiring minds want to know.......... |

Mr. Pizzaz first let me say I am a woman. I have lived in this town for a few months. My name is Mary Brenner and that is my maiden name not my married name. I do not think you know who I am. I do not know who you are. I am not reincarnated although I do believe in some form of it. last night before I left my office I though I would stop in to meet you as you had requested and then you posted. I though it best not to. I am not hiding under a pseudonym is your name PIZZAZ? Until another poster made reference to you I truley had no idea who you were. thank you Mary (very much a woman) Brenner and proud to be one! |

Little Leaguer: Dad, what does a ballplayer do when his eyesight starts going bad? Dad: He gets a job as an umpire. The Umpire Is Always Right by R.U. Nuts A doctor at an insane asylum decided to take his patients to a baseball game. For weeks in advance, he coached his patients to respond to his commands. When the day of the game arrived, everything seemed to be going well. As the National Anthem started.......the doctor yelled, "Up Nuts" And the patients complied by standing up. After the anthem ...he yelled, "Down Nuts". And they all sat back down in their seats. After a home run was hit, the doctor yelled, "Cheer Nuts". They all brokeout into applause and cheered. When the umpire made a particularly bad call against the star of the home team, the Doctor yelled, "Booooo Nuts!!!" and they all started booing and cat calling. Thinking things were going very well. The doctor decided to go get a beer and a hot dog, leaving his assistant in charge. When he returned, there was a riot in progress. Finding his assistant, the doctor asked," What in the world happened? "The assistant replied, "Well, everything was going just fine till a vendor passed by and yelled PEANUTS!" Have a nice day, all.... |

Ah yes, yet another lame effort by Mr. Pizzaz to ignore questions that highlight the problems he's caused & the fact that, contrary to being the saint some people on MOL seem to think he is, he's actually a very mean spirited & unkind man. Why am I not surprised? |
