There was a thread about this several weeks ago discussing many different places. Wooley is not open evenings or weekends so you might want to check out this link for other suggestions as well. |

The problem with HD is that they do tank exchange, and you can wind up with a tank in fairly poor condition. Just a thought... |

Thread drift alert, however it is somewhat about the topic. We needed a new grill 2 years ago. Got a portable Weber that uses the gas from my house. Had someone come out and hook up a tap for me outside and the grill has a 10 or 15 foot hose that attaches to the tap. Can move it around, cooks great and I never have to worry about an empty tank. |

Letters: Who'd you use and what was approx. damage for the hookup? Grill well, all. David |

Thanks everyone. Took my tank to Wooley's and filled it for 18.00 with no hassles. |

David, I used a friend of mine who used to work at PSE&G and it cost me some filet mignons, fresh corn on the cob and some Harps. He just had to tap into the gas pipes and run a feed to the outside. It didn't take long at all. The grill itself cost the same as the tank versions, but you have to buy one that is specifically made to use natural gas. The nozzles and burners are slightly different due to the different density of the gasses, so you can't use the one you have if it was designed for a tank. We needed a new one anyway, so this was not a problem. Letters |
