Willf, Dave: I guess I'm not doing so well with this. First, I'm on Win2000, IE 5.5 w/patches. When I right click on the page, I do not see copy/past on the menu. If I right click on the Edit, I get to a login error page. If I copy/paste that URL, it gets me to the URL for the error. Can I get a bit more help, a tad slower and lower in detail? You can see that I'm trying. |

Jgberkeley, You don't want to right click on the 'edit' link, but rather within a blank part of the window that contains the message you want to reference. The select "open frame in new window" or something similar to that. Once you get the new window open, the location URL at the top of your screen is ready to be copy (ctrl-c) and pasted (ctrl-v) into the message box. Hope that helps. |

But, Dave, how do you get the window to be scrolled to the exact post you want to reference? |

Dave, When I crick in the White space of the message I want, I get Back, Select All, Create Shortcut, Add to Faviortes, View source, Encoding, Print, Referesh and Properties. I can see other selections 'grayed out' and none come close to your suggestions. My last try I selected Properties and saw a URL. I posted it and it drove me to the top of the Thread not the post. I have to be close here. |

Say I want to reference your post from 2:47. I notice you have the word 'crick' in it, so I do a keyword search on 'crick' and find the result i'm seeking. i right click on the highlighted word 'crick' in the search results and choose 'open in own window'. The URL at the top of that screen is the one you are seeking. That will guide you to the precise article. It's a pain, but it's the only workaround at the moment. Hope later versions of this software can address the issue. |

I have the same problem as Jq with Dave's method but when I find the message using the keyword search I can right click on the search term, open in new window, copy the url and voila I am "scrolled": 66.33.118.129/discus/messages/3137/3966.html?#POST42097 |

And remember, if you use the \ link { x, y} format instead of the \ newurl or \ topurl formats, the link will open within the frameset (framistan?). |

I can see them building right now. That swirl of brown and gold colors as the head starts to build toward the top of the glass, the small drops running down the outside as you wait for the first chance to taste the special fluid. Wow, If they don't build the Pub, I will! |
