I suppose las does hold tit-ular leadership of this thread, and it may be have been a boob in posting about pippi's accessories here....

Mind you, if my mammary serves me correctly, they are other subjects mentioned on this thread too, although we are being a trifle bra-zen on this topic...

We should nip it in the bud while we can...

However, for those who want to stay abreast of the current topic, without hijacking Las's thread, visit Jamie's Galapagos blog.

Evidently, he has spotted and photographed a boobie.

Hi las and thanks for the welcome. Apparently I can't keep up with this quickly changing thread!!

But you are correct; she's a very decent person. Welcomed me into her life, her family, her friends, has been attentive and generous, and quite tolerant of my often dispirited state (my life is a mess!) Obviously had I ever ever mentioned a particular sensitivity or off-limits topic I just know she would have steered clear. It is hard to know how deep-seeded a person's insecurities are especially if they don't let on. She can't be blamed for that. Anyway, I certainly can't dump her now, as she happens to be going through a genuinely tough time and for once she really needs ME to be the rock. Who on earth would desert a friend in their time of need?

pippi - no attacks, per se! Comments have been made in jest that may have touched a nerve but I can't imagine anything was said maliciously. Who would do that? That's an awful thought.

Thanks everyone for your input and for setting me straight! Over and out....

PS I enjoy your words, las, and admire your openness. I hope everything works out for you in all the ways you want it to.

The people I visit they are my family they were for years our backdoor neighbors - the octogenarians who welcomed us in and embraced us as if we were theirs ...And the old lady who used to be wild about him who barely knew I was around always reaches for me and reminds me it is what it is...

My Dear Evy. Thank you for ensuring I was always a part of your family.

Family. That is your legacy.

I hope you are at peace.

And the 2006 Award for Most Obtuse Person I Know Goes to.....

Cousin X for the following vignette:

The Setting
The Shiva home after the funeral of our dear Evy

The conversation
Cousin X: I'm so glad to see you guys are here! I've been carrying this around for ages!

Me: You guys?

Cousin X: Ah - here you go! It's a photo from last Passover.

Me: Actually, it's from 2004. Remember? He left me last year and is no longer a part of this famiy?

Cousin X: Right. Well, you can keep the photo. I don't need it.

The Post Mortem
Have you any idea what it's like to look at the face of a dead man? This man is dead, as the man I saw in gay green car was not the same person I loved at all. Things are moving fine and if I saw him today I'd spit on him. But seeing this photo, almost a year before he left...

This is the him I knew. And in April 2004 he was beautiful to me.
Now? Well I didn't tell him our dear friend Adam died nor did I tell him our loving Evy died either.

He wasn't dead or gay then...
I think I might have lost a few inches of face and chin over the past year. Lord help me if I actually have a face bigger than my .

Of course I was unhappy! I was sitting at a gourmet Passover Seder table and afraid to eat a thing in front of the skinny wretch.

All those years, and no one ever noticed he barely ate. They had no idea. Good thing he pissed me off enough to share all those secrets I'd been carrying around so long...

Las is cool
yeah, yeah, yeah

Las Rocks
yeah, yeah, yeah

Las saved my
yeah, yeah, yeah

Las is Great
yeah, yeah, yeah

Lyrics aren't my thing
yeah, yeah, yeah

That's OK because there's no music either
yeah, yeah, yeah

Here's to Las
yeah, yeah, yeah

las,

I just saw the photo. Speaking as an outsider, the person who drew the eye was you (I take it that's you in the shot)

It's like a stab in the heart to see a photo of you and someone you had something with that has gone, and why people don't think about your feelings is beyond me, but that's how some folk are.

The photo showed me someone with beautiful eyes (yes, even through your lenses they shine) a wonderful smile, and we all know you have a heart of gold.

You all are the best - your support and encouragement is still overwhelming. I'm doing so well and I'm having so much fun and I really know the nicest people.

Something changed at the one year mark. Now I've got stuff going on, I'm sort of experiencing love (not to worry: I'm fully aware it will crash at some point - since I'm expecting it it won't surprise me - THIS time ), I look towards the future and the anger has subsided significantly. Except when school issues arise. And litter box scooping (3 cats X 3 boxes...).

SOP, you're not an outsider.

G'tree: 'twas nothing.

Red: I don't understand why my life revolves around boobs/breasts/bosoms/busts/chests/dugs/teats/
mammillas/udders/jugs/headlights/knockers/knobs/bazongas/coconuts/hooters/etc...
(just got a new thesaurus - can you tell?

I had an Aunt Elsie :-) She was a great woman. Loved to party and actually lived in sin! (this is back in the 40's or 50's when it was well not good!) She was a rebel. I loved her :-)

My Aunt Elsie had t*ts out to there and a hump. And I'm starting to look like her. And so is my sister.

But: she could dice an onion in the palm of her hand while holding a cigarrette in her mouth with an ash five inches long.
