Welcome to the brave world of member profiles, Shh, the first step in the 12-step program. |

Thanks for posting Dave. My greatest fear was that there would be no follow-up posters. After the 12 step program, I need to check out the formatting section to figure out how to put those smiley face icons in. |

Now we all need to reassure Shh that it's okaaay not to get follow-up posts. |

Beach: I notice that you haven't joined the profile ranks yet. How come? And, are you suggesting that it's better not to receive follow-up posts than to be applauded/challenged for such contraversial statements as being "a stay at home mom" or not liking "dogs and cats"? LOL This post hungry crew will devour just about any fresh meat (or in this case, in deference to Shh' preferences, should I say vegetables?) presented to it. |

I haven't eaten dog for a long time. Hate cat! Beach, your dog is too small. Greyhounds are too bony. I'm thinking something husky-ish. Nah, I'll stick to Tomo's. |

Actually Joancrystal, I was trying to stay away from such controversial topics! If anything, I figured the "married HS sweetheart" statement would be the most entertaining. Anyone else out there (happily) married to their first true love? Excuse my sappiness: my husband tore open his foot yesterday after running away from me trying to kiss him in our mess of a backyard. He said he'll finally stop playing hard-to-get. (This after an ER visit and six stitches.) |

Shh, the way you phrased it, it could read that you are "sort of" married. |

That would work for that recent poster looking for couples with an "open marriage," wouldn't it? (For a magazine article, wink, wink.) No, we're really married. We were SORT OF high school sweethearts. |

JoanCrystal, I guess you missed the after my post. Not questioning a single thing, just a little 12-Step humor. I think Shh got it... |

PS JC..sounds like you're a bit post hungry for controversy this fine AM. Or is it the de-caf? I noticed MANY people here haven't shared yet. |

The problem: Wimbledon has pre-empted the McGlaughlin Group and Meet the Press; hence, the need for controversy this morning. Shh, magazine article indeed. LOL! |

I guess Dave. Still though! Sorry Shh, if my 12-Step humor screwed up your profile. If I ever *choose* to do one, come in anytime!;) |

Trust me Beach, my profile's been screwed up way before the 12-step humor. I'm still trying to think of something controversial, BTW. Funny, I had the same problem with my college art professors. "Too saccharin," they'd say, to my futile attempts at controversy. |

Neglected to mention under my profile that I am a part-time graphic designer. (VERY part-time.) ...and, I am in desperate need (VERY desperate) for a reasonable, but good, Macintosh person to help me get this #$%&@^?! machine in better working order. I generally use photoshop, illustrator and quark, and the utilities like acrobat to create pdf's to e-mail files. My biggest problem to date is a printing problem-- trying to use a portdoubler to print to an epson stylus 800 color and a 10 year old laserwriter that worked just fine until the portdoubler came along. Anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? |

Shh.. what type of machine do you have. ? I'll ask my husband (whom I consider a Mac god!) for some suggestions. |

I have a Mac clone, a PCI Power Tower Pro 225. It's about 3 1/2 years old. |

Hubby says, port doubler does not work with epson products, but you can by a switcher (?). He says buy a USB card and use that. |

Funny thing is, the port doubler DID work with the epson. It's the LASERWRITER I cannot get to work! |
