Thanks everyone. It came as something of a surprise to me. I have produced a film festival for 4 years and now been submitting as a filmmaker for 2 years and still do not know what makes these events tick. Why GSFF should be so crazy about it and yet Trenton Film Fest said thanks but no thanks. It truly is a lottery. Dave, thanks for the offer, I have no idea what sort of MOL event we could have. I do plan, with AJC's permission, to screen all three shorts when they are all three finished at H2TA. We are going into the final stages of post-production on BUST next week so sometime in the early summer I should have all three in their final form. Unless of course ComposerJohn has orchestrated The Able's House is Green to new heights. Otherwise you will have to hear it with just the simple score provided by my Boston friends and a song by Emily Saliers. But thanks all, for the good wishes. I appreciate it. Nice too that it was filmed "entirely on location in Maplewood". |

Well, there are worse things Than staring at the water on a Sunday. There are worse things Then staring at the water As you're posing for a picture Being painted by your lover In the middle of the summer On an island in the river on a Sunday. On a Sunday in the Park with George |

In 1986 on this date the Chernobyl plant exploded forever changing our planets ecological dynamic. In 1994 South Africa held its first multi racial elections. In 1607 English Colonists land at Cape Henry Virginia soon to make a home at Jamestown. In 2005 I spent the day trying to figure out how to raise 50K for a short film. I am taking all ideas on the subject. |

I always sell equipment I don't use when I need money. Grants? Lottery? Shake the tree and put all the stuff you wanted to keep, but haven't used in a while on ebay? Credit cards? Have a fund rasiser for yourself? Whatever the theme is - maybe there is a group that is close to that theme that would happen to have some free cash flow. That really is the million dollar question. Good luck. |

Well Buzz I have 5K of it. So I just need 9 more people who want to donate, since you can't call it an investment since the most any one has ever been paid for a short film is 1200 bucks, So I guess I just need the mailing list of the social register in Morristown or something..LOL. I will find it. Shake the tree. whatever needs be done. BTW I am loving your blog. its the first thing I check. |

It's also Scottish philospher David Hume's birthday. Hume raised money tutoring a deranged nobleman. Hope that helps. |
