This Sunday, June 9, 11 AM
Naomi Welk, author of "The History of South Orange" will be the speaker at the Ethical Culture Society in Maplewood.
from the notes on their website:
Naoma Welk ... has managed special events and developed public relations programs for a museum and a national historic site. In early 2001, the Montrose Park Historic District Association asked Ms. Welk to work with the association to research and write a local history of South Orange, to be published by Arcadia for their Images of America series. In late February Images of America: South Orange was released. It received an excellent response and the first printing sold out in just seven weeks. The second edition is currently being printed.
Naoma Welk, an Ohio native, moved to Montclair, New Jersey in the 1970s and has lived with her husband in the Montrose Park Historic District of South Orange for the past nine years.
