ok - i've gotta vote again... I'd take anywhere in Italy: Venice - it was as magical as I had dreamed. I feared I would be disappointed, but was not. Though, yes, the towns of Cinque Terre were AMAZING! Siena - an architect's wonderland (along with Florence and Rome of course). Rio de Janiero gets a vote from me too - the geography is CRAZY! (along with other things there...)

Campbell -- I used to live right near the Cinque Terre, in a town called Lerici. It is truly beautiful there. My favorites (has to be cities, right?): Budapest Barcelona St. Petersburg London Amsterdam Athens (crazy, right? but I love the place) Jerusalem City I most want to visit: Istanbul |

We had a grand old time in Paris in summer 2002. My wife (then my fiancee) told me we were renting bicycles. Took me a minute to realize she was serious. She's pretty adventurous. So it was hot, and we were tired and hungry one day, after pedalling all around, and we stopped at a gas station in the middle of the city, because we saw they were selling sandwiches. I suppose it was more our fatigue, but they really seemed to be the best tuna sandwiches we had ever had. The folks were awfully nice, too. We kept trying to speak in French, and they kept replying to us in English. Comical! I haven't travelled much out of the country, making my list small. I had a good time everywhere. Been to Edinburgh twice and liked that a lot. Tom Reingold There is nothing

I know you asked for cities, but I'm going to cheat and throw the entire country of SPAIN on the list here. OK, I've really only been to about 5 cities there but they all top my list (Segovia, Madrid, Trujillo, Guadalupe, Caceras). I've been to a lot of other places since my trip there 10 years ago, and nothing beats it!!!!
