I think everyone just has to realize that for every generation parents have had a problem with what kids have worn. I'm sure you're parents and grandparents weren't in love with Hip Huggers at first. |

I think the huuuuge pants make it evident that there are not many genuinely cool ways left to change your clothing style that haven't been done before. I'm wondering if the next thing will be to wear jeans that are 3 feet longer than your legs. Or maybe they'll start wearing jeans on their heads and wearing sweatshirts like pants? It's silly, but let them do what they wanna do, as long as they're not hurting anybody. |

Waldo The intelligence level of a person after they pierce/tattoo their body parts is not the point. It's the intelligence level before the defiling that's in question. |

I always loved the line...They want to differentiate themselves. If the want to differentiate themselves, why wear the same thing as everyone else? Develop your own style! |

I remember a particular strip of "The Lighter Side" in Mad Magazine by dave Berg (who recently died). A couple of teenagers were yelling at the middle aged guy about how they were doing things differently. He said, OK, but why? And they replied, "Because everyone else is doing it!" Unfortunatly, kids today don't have a generation gap to hide behind & lob the old " you just don't understand " . We do, been there done that, with a helluva lot less scrutiny then they have today. I knew that the youth of today were doomed to mediocrity when one of my nephews came up to me exclaiming that Led Zepplin was the greatest band ever, DO you know what I mean ? . We were in my bros basement mess'in around , he slid into Dancein Days , to our nephews amazment, saying WOW you guys know that one? |

There IS something wrong with the ultra-baggy pants: the look started with prisoners, who are not allowed to wear belts. Ex-cons then dressed that way in public to show their toughness and make sure nobody messed with them. The style trickled down to the masses. I am so opposed to that form of dress because of its origin. |
