In the big picture, this is trivial, but:
Got caught up in the frosting approach a couple of years ago. Hate the costly maintenance.
Can someone tell me how I can successfully go back to one color - without going very dark?
Present color (can't remember the original)  is dirty blond with maybe 15% gray. I've been told my very blond streaks will grab the color and darken. Go lighter and the dark hair will come up red - which I don't want!
Is there a color expert who can give me a clue so that when I go in the beauty salon I know what to ask for?
