Life is good. Scored two tickets in SECTION 7 for 8/31! Dead center on the floor, just behind GA!

Also scored four in Section 15 Row 2 ...

I'm done.

Chris - congrats on the great seats! I managed 8/31, but in 128.

Tom Joad - you're right, it's under appreciated, probably because of the spare sound. There are a lot of great story songs, and it's one of his most political records. In addition to the title track, I like Youngstown - a word portrait of a dying steel town. The last lines are chilling, when the steelworker-narrator says:

"When I die I don't want no part of heaven.
I would not do heaven's work well.
I pray the devil comes and takes me
To stand in the fiery furnaces of hell."

(And of course, My Best Was Never Good Enough - "The early bird catches the 'f-ing' worm"; sort of like trying for concert tickets.)

Yeah, I have actually started listening to GTJ in my car. Lots of great songwriting and the way they are presented is very effective. Yes, under-appreciated for sure.

For those of you looking for tickets, eBay is absolutely flooded with tickets. Everything and anything.

My collection now looks like this:

7/15 - 1 Ticket Section 218 Row 10 Opening Night
7/21 - 1 Ticket Section 119 Row 18
7/26 - 2 Tickets Section 11 Row 17 FLOOR
7/27 - 4 Tickets Section 13 Row 5 FLOOR

8/31 - 2 Tickets Section 7 Row 21 FLOOR
8/31 - 4 Tickets Section 15 Row 2 FLOOR
8/31 - 2 Tickets Section 117 Row 26

I am not 100% sure what I am doing with all of these tickets, but I don't think I will get burned. Well, I hope I don't get burned. Again, eBay is absolutely flooded with tickets. I ain't gonna panic. I am definitely sitting in Section 7 on the last night of the stand and, I think, of the tour.

Chris,
How about a big all-Maplewood tailgate to kickoff the stand on 7/15?

Was at last night's AC show, and it was amazing. It was my first show of The Rising tour, and the new songs are very powerful. Who else can you think of who has been doing this for 30 years, and has new material that stands up alongside the greatest hits?

Boardwalk Hall is a cool place to see a show -- a little funky, and very small for an arena. As a "tribute" to the place which has hosted the Stones, The Beatles, and so many other legendary acts, the band did The Beatles' "Tell Me Why" as the first encore. It was a really nice surprise, and the band seemed to be getting a kick out of playing something they hadn't played before.

To my ears, the band seems even better than when I last heard them at MSG in 2000. They're playing with more energy, and seemingly having a great time. I think we're in for a big party at the Meadowlands this summer!

I was down in Jacksonville earlier this week & made it into the "pit" (something that's virtually impossible around here). What an awesome experience. My 3rd show of the tour and certainly the best for no other reason than being 5 feet from the stage. Even got to strum THE guitar during Born to Run.

Now I'm in for 4 nights at Giants Stadium which will be awesome, but tough after being so close. I'm dreading my credit card statement & all those damn Ticketbastard fees & charges.

There are still some rumors floating of even MORE shows being added.

Mayhewdrive: You're 100% correct. The Pit spoils you ... For life!

ML1: A friend of mine was at AC and he said the same thing. He said the energy was just over the top. What're the dates for Philly?

sorry Chris,
don't have dates -- thought my info was rock-solid, turns out it's a rumor. No listing of sale dates for Philly at Ticketmaster. I'd still check this week though, just in case.

Yeah, I checked Backstreets and there was nothing there either. I would guess that 8/31 is it for the tour, right? I mean, that makes sense. I really hope that it is. That will make the show that much more special ...

$5 says we hear "Rosalita" at that one!

FYI: There were still decent single tickets on Ticketbastard this morning. 100 level stuff. Man, summer can't get here fast enough!

I got two in the 300s for the Saturday show. Not great seats but at least I'm going! This will be my first Springsteen concert.

I saw a blurb about shows in Phillie and Boston, but (GOOD NEWS!) Giants Stadium looks to be the last night of the tour ...

Well, I'm putting my white Irish ass in Section 7 Row 21. That's for sure! As for the rest, friends and family. It's kind of hard to plan something like this six months out ...

ML UNO: Did you get any for 8/31?

From www.backstreets.com

Boston and Philly tickets on sale 3/15: In between the East Rutherford runs, Boston and Philly are now on the schedule for August. August 1 is at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA; August 8 is at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 15, at 10 a.m. And again, it can't hurt to stay alert for more shows announced on the day of the ticket sale, in case this extra shows are added for these cities.

Ok, I am new to this section of the board. Any tips on how to score decent (or any, for that matter) tickets to any of the Giants Stadium shows? Does anyone have any extras?? Thought I would start locally before branching out to scalpers or eBay.

Do NOT go to scalpers or ebay. Go to Ticketbastard (legal scalping with all their outrageous fees) and pick up tickets for virtually any of the 10 shows. They are not sold out, particularly the shows that were added later.

Thanks for the advice! I thought for sure they were sold out. I thought I would have to resort to going to see him somewhere else (which is OK, but is nothing like seeing him in NJ).

Mayhewdrive is right. There are still pairs of 300 level tickets left for the last night. I came across a single in the 200 level. Poke around www.ticketmaster.com. You may not find a pair or four all together where you want, you should be able to find some decent single tickets for all nights ...

Good luck.
