I know everyone is not a Celine Dion fan, but I LOVE her! I got her new CD for Christmas and it is the most soothing and loving music for anyone who appreciates the miracle of a new life...and you don't have to be a parent to relate to it. I play for my boys (5 and 2) while I am putting them to bed and they like to sleep with it on low. It's her best work yet. I highly recommend it to begin a wonderful new year if you don't have it....and there are breathtakingly beautiful baby pictures by Anne Geddes. Happy New Year neighbors!

Isn't Celine in year 5 of her farewell tour or something like that?

As the joke goes, "How can we miss you if you won't leave?"

I appreciate Celine's artistry and actually do really like some of her cds. However, I found this new cd to be obnoxious.

She's really cashed in on the motherhood thing. How old is that kid now? 10?

Her son Rene will be 4 on January 25. My daughter Renee turns 4 the next day.

God I hope that doesn't mean we have some kind of cosmic connection. And yes I think she is really milking the motherhood thing, no pun intended.

I'll save my comments for if and when the day ever comes when she releases "Celine Sings The Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber", backed by John Tesh and with guest appearances by Kenny G and Michael Bolton. Or.."Dion Does Dion"...covers of Runaround Sue and The Wanderer and so many other classics.

And the piece de resisitance would be background vocals by Peter Lemongello (anyone old enuff to remember him ?, singer no one knew who hawked his records on TV), sax solos by Kenny G and guitar by Esteban. Special guest, Mr Wayne Newton singing a duet with Ms. Dion on , "You're Havin My Baby".

Just the thought of this is triggering an episode of cyberspace bulimia.

Crazy--the version I learned decades ago was:

Comet, it makes your teeth turn green
Comet, it tastes like gasoline...

the rest was the same as yours.

Reminds me of an Imus joke; when Clinton said we should apologize to African Americans for slavery, he said Michael Bolton should apologize to them.
