meandtheboys - Muvico is a chain of massive, high-end and high-service multiplexes. They started in Florida, and are now in NC, GA, MD and soon to be in NJ. They have special balcony levels that are adult-only, and the $16 or $18 ticket includes valet-parking, soft-drinks and snacks, loveseat seating with side tables and drop-off childcare. | ||

Yeah Straw... Those of us who earn it, we're definetly morons. Dave, Muvico's screens are HUGE, wall to wall, and the theatres are fabulous with every one THX certified. From the press release: The new megaplex will feature an elaborately themed lobby and an expansive concession stand with exceptional offerings; state-of-the-art technology; wall-to-wall screens; Dolby digital surround sound; stadium-seating with spacious custom rocking seats and 46” row spacing to offer enough room to walk between aisles; and well-trained staff providing Muvico’s award-winning signature friendly service. Megaplex plans include a Premier Level with nine balcony auditoriums and a full-service restaurant and bar plus a 15,000 square foot rooftop terrace featuring a 60-foot outdoor screen for outdoor movie viewing with a helipad and private access for VIP’s to the Premier Level. I'm so excited I can't stand it. Plus they have on-site BABYSITTING! Muvico is the best movie theatre experience there is. | ||

The image of the screen is from Muvico's web site. The seating looks comfy, but not double-ticket-price-comfy as, say Lowe's stadium seating on Rt22. It will appeal to many people, though, with the childcare element. | ||
