"You are barking up a bad tree, my friend."

Tulip, be careful pal! You're on the line... I asked you a question so lighten up.

You lighten up, and don't try to give me a threat. Look at your post. You accused me all over the lot. I am so glad I don't live anywhere near you, or have the remotest chance of ever running into you in my entire life. Go live your little life out, and leave me alone.

"Ooh, that italics, bold, and font thing sure is fun."

Rastro, the peas and carrots and funny face was meant in jest and in general to everyone in the conversation. Sorry... my bad!

God has truly blessed us by giving us a great leader in George W. Bush.

Thank the lord, Baruch Hashem, for giving Americans the wisdom to vote overwhelmingly for our president, George W. Bush.

May the lord bless and keep George W. Bush from harm while he leads our great nation. May the lord keep giving him the strength and wisdom he has shown over the last four years.

God bless our President George W. Bush, and God bless America.

What do you think about Tulip? And, why are you bitching about people who love God and want nothing but the good things in life for "ALL" people in the world?

Would you prefer what in other parts of the world are hate conversations about killing Americans because of their beliefs and desires for a free world?

God and America go together like peas and carrots. So be good, shut up, and sit down and eat your vegetables...
}

I guess this is the calibre of the discourse you are accepting, Dave?

ajc (no, I'm not stalking you ),

What is it about Michael's post that makes hima great American? because he said "God bless our President George W. Bush, and God bless America"? Is that really sufficient for being a great American? What if (and I'm sure he isn't) MJ was a wife-beater? What if he was talking the talk, but was actually plotting to overthrow the gov't?

Now, if you know Michael personally, I take this all back. I just find it amazing that we all take what people say at face value, especially politicians, rather than having a skeptical eye on things (other than those we despise).

did any of that make sense?

Not going to waste any of my time watching the "festivities". I respect anyones right to practice any religion, creed, etc., that doesn't hurt anyone. It's interesting to note that in most of Europe, a politician mentioning god is usually history. Does this make Europeans less moral people ?, I don't think so.

Just because someone visits a house of worship or reads and quotes from a certain book doesn't make them moral. If you believe in a higher power, terrific but preaching and proselytizing don't cut it, it's what you do when no ones watching that counts. The thought that someone can lead a morally bankrupt life and then, right before dying accepeting some form of god and that making everything allright, is a something I totally and completely reject. I also reject killing because gods on your side.

Sermon over.

By the same token mentioning God or whomever you worship doesn't mean that the speaker is forcing you to adopt his beliefs.

For the record, right now the most amazing dual image on C-Span. Miles and miles of jeering crowds, taunting, booing, pointing, as Bush's limo rolls along, and on the other side of the screen, Barbara and George the first standing in their bunker, nodding and smiling and saying thank you. Thank the supreme being for C-Span.
Looks just like the movie!!!
