I can't make this stuff up. . .

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4190699.stm

I have often watched spongebobsquarepants with my kids. I never knew I was being subjected to homosexual propaganda. Of all the insidious, underhanded, dirty, un-American tricks.

Can I be helped, or is it too late?

Squidward on the other hand is definetly closeted.

Everyone knows that

It was the one time in his life that Jerry Falwell was correct about something.

Silly Conservatives. Everyone knows that with Sponge Bob's naty attire, he is nothing but a metro-sexual.

Wack-O's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's a cartoon sponge!
He has no physical genetalia to be physically
gay with or ideas of his own except what the
creators give him...HE IS A DRAWING!!!! An
idea, a marketing tool to move lunchboxes,
towels, watches, happy meals, shirts and boxer shorts.

Questioning the creators sexual preference seems
to be a more logical argument.

On the other hand there is Christopher Lowell...
Decide for yourself..

Bert and Ernie sleep in the same room together, though in separate beds. Kinda like married couples did on TV through the 60's.

Angus,

SpongeBob is hung like a bear. His pants are square for a reason, you know.

Anyway I have it from a reputable inside source that Spongebob is not gay, he's on the down low.

Why do you think Mr. Crabs walks with a limp?

Yes, in my opinion, Bert & Ernie were there first gay couple on TV!! :-)

And let's not forget Big Bird, Grover, and my favorite cartoon mary - Bugs Bunny! Gay as the day is long, although some may argue that he goes BOTH ways.

As for Spongebob - he wears high-waters and striped sports socks - there's no way he could be gay!

*Ahem* SpongeBob is a sponge, therefore a hermaphrodite, therefore, not gay, not straight.

Just another Porifera keepin' it real. Stop all this haytin' yo.

>> Besides, If Mr. Squarepants were gay he would be SpongeRobert.

CTW often got inquiries asking if Bert and Ernie were gay.

The standard reply: "No, they're puppets."

Michael is correct.

SpongeBob is straight. He has a girlfriend. (although she's a squirrel ).

Squidward, on the other hand, is gay. Or if not, a committed metrosexual.

From today's NYTimes:
Conservatives Pick Soft Target: A Cartoon Sponge
WASHINGTON, Jan. 19 - On the heels of electoral victories barring same-sex marriage, some influential conservative Christian groups are turning their attention to a new target: the cartoon character SpongeBob SquarePants.

"Does anybody here know SpongeBob?" Dr. James C. Dobson, the founder of Focus on the Family, asked the guests Tuesday night at a black-tie dinner for members of Congress and political allies to celebrate the election results.

SpongeBob was created by God as part of his intelligent design of the Universe, specifically the part that provides harmless diversions for religious nutjobs (so they won't cause trouble in areas that God actually cares about).
