Wouldn't that be great? Along with some of the more choice lyrics from Hi Hi Hi?

I think anything is fine as long as an exposed breast doesn't distract us from the beer and Viagra commercials. |

On a serious note, "Pipes of Peace" would be perfect to start - |

..ah! but such a relief for we over 40 as compared to half-time shows of recent years. Seemed to me a truly deliberate 180 on, not just Janet 'n Justin but the last few shows... Agree it was a bit lame, but I liked the fireworks. So far, a couple of commericals have been the only crude spots. |

But doesn't Michael Jackson own the rights to the Beatles' songs? |

Nomination for most disappointing sell-out: U2 for letting their song "Sunday, Bloody Sunday," be used as a promo theme for advertising NFL games. Yuk. |

The U2 song was obviously chosen by Terry Bradshaw. Who else could be that dumb? |

Drive My Car..one of my least favorite Beatles songs. Get Back and Hey Jude..the kids liked..and although they didnt know Live And Let Die (they just learned about James Bond), they liked the fireworks...then I shuffled them off to bed. Sir Paul's voice sounded good...my daughter couldnt understand why he didnt move around at the microphone. The closest I got to hearing "Maybe Im Amazed" was the first half halftime show promos that ran a bunch of times using the song as the background music.

I loved it! And I agree with Cynicalgirl - it was a relief from the rauncy lyrics, crotch grabbing, simulated sex, skimpy costuming and costume malfunctions of the past few years. Sir Paul is a class act, start to finish. |

Yeah, my son was a little surprised that the young guy he knows from watching the movie "Help!" is an old dude now and that two of the others are no longer with us. We had an interesting conversation on what the phrase "dying of old age" really means. But, I thought he looked pretty good. He's still standing. What was up with the star on the tee shirt though? Was that supposed to be symbolic or a subliminal commercial? Looked a little "Dr. Suessish" to me. |
