Who experienced withdrawal symptoms during the off-line period and what did you do to alleviate them?

Gosh, that was perplexing. Was here earlier in the day, followed a link, came back, and you were gone. What the heck was that about? Yes I know you're being sued. Were you ordered off-line? Were you trying to make a point?

Yes, there was some withdrawal , but there was also a certain sense of freedom in knowing I wasn't going to miss anything if I wasn't able to get back before 8:00--a feeling of breaking free of my addiction!

This is just crazy!

Seemed like a stunt - what's the point? I doubt the plaintiffs are big MOL readers.

You had the lawyers info up for half and then removed it - did she threaten you?

Well, I, for one, would like to sue Ms. Dennis for mental distress brought on by malicious prosecution and recklessness.

I had the worst possible day of my life today, and it is only going to get worse (illness in the family). Between phone calls and doctor visits, I attempted to sit down for a bit of a mindless mental break and a pinch of normalcy.

No MOL.

We were not doing this to punish MOLers, but to generate some awareness site-wide. Not everyone reads the Soapbox. In the 8 hours we were offline, we received more calls and emails and offers of help than in the past week.

Glad I'm not the only one who called and glad I'm not the only one who went through withdrawl! And I agree with Greentree! We should sue those clowns for menral distress!

I almost called Ms. Dennis to give her an earful. Did you post her office phone number for that reason?

Oh - it is great to have you guys back!

Major props out to that person who gave $300 today. We're going to win this thing and the documentary Duncan will eventually make is going to be something along the lines of Revenge of the Nerds meets Dirty Harry.

We hope to have even more good news tomorrow.

I actually called the lawyer's office! It only takes one "injustice" and my normal calm self blows sky high......I was fuming (and having withdrawal)....I had an entire speech rehearsed. Then I got her answering machine, then I started to think that she is so evil she might sue me for just dialing her number.

THIS IS CRAZY! I will not allow one stinky apple ruin my quality of life!

Thank you - I feel better now that you are back.

Well the down-time kicked my own complacency in the butt. Like everyone else, I'm sure that D & J will win - but today I thought, what if they didn't?

That was awful. Must not happen.

And even if it's an open-and-shut case, we need to make a stand for democracy.

I was just dumbstruck and also went through withdrawl. MOL is just great, something I look forward to during the day. I hope the folks who brought this suit lose their shirts. Where can donations be sent to help fund MOL's legal fees
