Any American Idol fans out there? Just interested in who the favorites are. I'm backing Anwar Robinson and Miguel Vasquez after last night. The women sing tonight. Maybe I'll have a new favorite. |

I give it to the cute blonde girl from the mid-West. Very little talent displayed so far. None of the guys could sing worth a damn. |

None of the guys could sing worth a damn. What show are you watching? The guys performances were much stronger this year than the past. Miguel Vasquez & Carrie Underwood (in that order) are the two top contenders. I like Nadia, she's different. An AA girl singing rock is pretty cool. |

I'm so absolutely addicted to American Idol, I think I need a 12 step program. I was coming back from vacation last night and my plane was late so I missed it. I seriously feel a void because of it. Pathetic, I know. The men are so much better than in years past. Constantine just oozes rock star coolness, David Brown has one of the most beautiful soulful voices I've ever heard, even though his performance on Monday night didn't reflect it. I didn't get to see last night's but I'm sure Carrie Underwood was one of the best performances. She has such raw talent, it's hard to believe she can sing like that without any training. I guess tonight we'll get to see the two males and two females who get voted off. |

Sbenois, I so hope you are right! He is or was the music teacher of the son of a friend of mine in West Orange. It is fun to have someone local to cheer for! |

The two blondes: Carrie Underwood and Anthony Fedorov. BTW, next week includes new seasons of America's Next Top Model and Nashville Star! Life is suddenly good again! |

I still can't believe that they kick them out of the competition, then make them sing a farewell song. The poor girl last night looked like she was going to run screaming from the place. They should just let them gracefully leave rather than sticking a hot poker in their eye at such a difficult moment. |

Agreed, Sully - and it's very uncomfortable for everyone (except probably Simon). They've just been told that (1) they just don't sing well enough, and/or (2) their song selection sucked - but hey, let's hear it again! Maybe you'll break down and cry - that's good television! And I'm really disgusted with the manner in which they were letting the people know they were out - particularly the last guy, who was with the group that was told to "stay comfortable on the couch", then a few minutes later told "you're out". What a cruel charade. But I still love this show. |

And then they sang so badly so as to justify why they were leaving. Perhaps that is why they have them sing. |

Deacon, long time no see. Have you tried our new stuffed pizza on the menu, lately. It's provocative and very satisfying. |

I still can't believe that they kick them out of the competition, then make them sing a farewell song. Especially the last girl kicked-off! After telling her about her WRONG song choice…they made her sing it again? Kind of cruel. The first girl eliminated made a good point. She told the judges, perhaps no one knew who she was. Funny, they showed quite a few clips of Carrie, the "annoying" 16 year old, and others. But I didn't know who this girl was before last week. They aired pretty much "nada" on her. Manipulating the audience. Which I have a feelin American Idol purposely does.

I never watched the show too carefully until the last 2 episodes and I agree. The judges have so much influence over who gets picked. What a delectably stupid show. Easy to get sucked in. I'm really hoping a "rocker" type person wins this thing. One of the judges made a remark about karaoke and it occurred to me that all the songs they song are totally karaoke songs. At least the rocker people had attitude. I loved them and personality. |

We may actually get a tivo for the nights Idol is on at 9. Unfortunately, our little one often isn't asleep until 10 & only mommy is allowed to read her stories. We are of course hoping Nadia wins as that is our daughter's name. Second choice is Anwar because he just seems so incredibly nice as well as talented & is a local boy. |
