The Soapbox thread on sharing a hotel room with co-workers got me thinking.... If we had a MOL retreat and you had to choose a hotel roommate, who would it be and why? Assume no hanky-panky, just a place to crash. Try to keep it clean. |

I would imagine most people would want to bunk with me, especially if the prospect of hanky-panky with my balding (ok, bald), somewhat paunchy (alright, maybe slightly fat) self was eliminated. Who wouldn't want to converse with someone as brilliant as me? As for me, I would happily bunk with any number of lesbians. |

Cmontyburns. 'Cause he(?) would keep me laughing! Joan: 'Cause she's so sensible and wise and would help me solve all my problems! Tom Reingold: 'Cause he knows everything and I'd learn alot! |

See, I wouldn't want to bunk with Joan because she's so sensible. If I wanted to act like a nut job, she'd talk me out of it. Cmonty is a good candidate because he is funny. Then again, I haven't quite figured out Carrie Avery, so she might be a candidate just so I could get to know more about her. Alg fascinates me -her posting style is so different from Straw's that I might have to figure out what makes her tick, too. I'll have to keep thinking on this.... |

greentree: don't you think, being that Joan is so sensible, that she'd understand we all need to act like nuts sometimes? I picture her being the one who holds your hair and keeps you from puking all over yourself. |

I once was on the toilet and puked in my pulled down pants -- luckily nobody was home and I threw out the evidence (the pants). Another time I puked in my hat. So, my sleepover -- Cynical, Greentree, Cathy, Lydial, Mem, and Apm -- that's just the starter list, I'm certain there are others. No boys -- just a girls sleepover. If we have to have boys -- then TR of course is invited, and Straw -- both are well versed at hanging with the girls. And RedY -- don't know -- boy or girl? |

Hank, thanks for the endorsement as a roomie -- likewise. I'd also add Chasm, and Nohero. Would never list anyone I haven't met in RL. |

Oh man, you made me laugh. Where to start!? meandtheboys sounds like cheerful fun. greenetree is a great conversationalist. One of my first picks. cynicalgirl is a good friend. nohero and notehead are fascinating. So is Dr. Winston O'Boogie. cmontyburns is funny and sensible and must be fun. crazyguggenheim is probably similar. Probably could stay up all the night chatting with Dave. Same for Jamie. I'm sure I'd be on the same wavelength as Cathy (clkelley). Algebra2 would be great, because she has a lot to learn about letting stuff roll off her back. I mean that as a high compliment. Lydia, because how can you not like her? SoOrLady, because she can be anyone's chum. themp because he is so amazingly witty. DeborahG, just because. bobk is full of interesting stuff. So is ashear. spry, because, well, she knows why. Duncan, because it's high time we met. Mark Furman, because we already know we are on the save wavelength. earlster would definitely be fun. Many more! |

Pippi beat me to it! Her first post in HOW long? Pippi and I were college roommates from Sept. to Jan. I think we'd do better now than we did then. Ask Pippi about her current roommates. Hank, very funny. He might trust you, but does he trust me? I bet you're much neater than I am. As long as you don't mind my, er, uhm, SOCKS, all over the place I guess we'd be ok...but could you live in a red room? |

Tom, are you sharing a room or a barracks? shh, I cant speak for Mr. Shh's trust issues with you..but hey, I'll ask if I see him at basketball! The guys in the gym might find the topic amusing. And sure, I could deal with your, er, uhm, SOCKS all over the place. Red is fine...its lively...you mean wine..right? |
