ML -
if you are going to play, you must be prepared for visions of ratty bathrobes and dental floss.

George Berkley might be fun to bunk with. He'd probably stay up all night rewiring or rebuilding things & I could watch and learn.

Meandtheboys intrigues me, too.

Mem would be lots of fun, but, like with Reingold, since we've met, I'd stick with new people first.

LibraryLady - I'd bunk with you. I bet you know when to cut the chit chat and let a person read. There's something horrible about a person who keeps interrupting when your in the middle of a good book.

Id only bunk with S if the retreat was at his place on Lake Sbenois. Id hang out with him any time but bunking otherwise, not sure...I hear that instead of sheep, he counts Mets thirdbasemen to fall asleep and has been known to sing the whole movie version of "Tommy" in his sleep, rumor has it.

Ya' know, I'm actually really happy the only people who mentioned bunking with me were Hank & Pippi.

Sometimes, you just really don't want to know what people are thinking.

Who would I bunk with, anyone who likes having fun, telling jokes, playing games(damn it, get your minds out of the frigging gutter) and just talking the night a way. or someone who is willing to talk sports.

Has there ever been an "MOL mixer?" A sort-of "let's all meet at a bar or at the lingerie department at Target and put faces to the names" kind of event? Or do people prefer to remain anonymous?

An MOL Halloween Costume Ball where everyone wears a mask and we spend the night trying to discover what person goes with what screen name?

Those folks who wish to remain anonymous could do so, those who wish to reveal themselves would be free to do so as well.

ok.. I'm a little late in chiming in..folk I'd bunk with:
shh - she has such awesome shoes & boots
Lydia - seems like a reasonable, yet fun person
greentree - makes me laugh
Diedra - she has a strong sense of self - even in the face of MOLer critics
Just the Aunt - to give her a night with the adults
If it's co-ed
Tom Reingold - who doesn't love him?
Hank - because shh likes him
MRosner - so he could tell us all about the new restaurants opening in S. Orange
and I'm assuming CMontyBurns is a guy... in any case good for comic relief.

Yikes! How could I forget Soda? He makes me laugh.

Nohero always has good suggestions, so I might bring a list of questions & bunk with him.

To tell the truth, I don't think I'd want to bunk with Sbenois. I enjoy his posts & would love to meet him IRL, but sharing a room & getting to know him better might take away some of the allure.

Come to think of it, I wouldn't want to bunk with Straw either, but I might be tempted to have a cup of coffee with him just to see if he's really like he seems he is. Sometimes I think he's really a left-wing activist with a really warped sense of irony who uses his posting alter-ego persona to amuse himself.

I'm shocked nobody wants to bunk with Straw -- he's so relaxing to have around?

do you mean "shocked" as in surprised, or "shocked" like Claude Rains in Casablanca?

I think Straw would prefer "shocked" as in "shock and awe".

You know, on second thought I wouldn't share a room with any of you. I'm kind of a prima donna when I need to sleep. :-)

The ONE person on MOL that I would consent to share a room with (other than mr. cl, who posts under an identity that even I don't know these days) is ......

Catastrophe. If he would consent to sharing his space of course.

Reverse situation to greenetree ... I can't sleep on business trips precisely because I don't have a cat squashed against me.

I'd hang out at the hotel bar with almost anybody here though.

Thanks SoOrLady!

Cool shoes is reason enough to keep someone around.
